Mr. Boyd studied law at the University of British Columbia. He has practiced family law exclusively since being called to the bar and works as a litigator, mediator and parenting coordinator. Mr. Boyd is an associate with the preeminent Vancouver family law firm Aaron Gordon Daykin Nordlinger and is a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Mr. Boyd is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the British Columbia Parenting Coordination Roster, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the National Council on Family Relations. Mr. Boyd presently serves on the editorial board of the Continuing Legal Education Society's British Columbia Family Practice Manual, the board of directors of the British Columbia Parenting Coordination Roster Society and the board of directors of the British Columbia Hear the Child Society. He is the winner of the UBC Law Alumni Association's 2008 Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.
The author is, in varying capacities, a lecturer, speaker, writer and editor on family law topics for a number of different organizations and publications including the Continuing Legal Education Society, the Legal Services Society, the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of British Columbia's Professional Legal Training Course. His more scholarly work, which will be generally of no interest to anyone, has been published in The Advocate, the UBC Law Review and elsewhere.
